Austin Madinga co-facilitated a practical blogging session at a UNICEF Malawi Social Media Workshop with social media specialist Sandra Thier, co-founder & Managing Director of diego5 studios. The training participants were youths, journalists and other individuals interested in blogging and social media. The youth were students from secondary schools in the Mangochi district. The journalists were from various media houses including Nation Publications and Timveni Radio while the individuals came from various organisations including the Malawi Department of Tourism.
Austin used his blogging experience to help the participants understand blogging and to set up new blog profiles. He also presented a session on common online threats as well as techniques used for hacking, phishing and social engineering.
